Content from Axolotl’s website, an overview of their clinical network functions – optimized for search engine page ranking:
Health Information Exchange Solutions
A Health Information Exchange (HIE) is a secure clinical network that connects all medical providers within a specific geographic area.
Most U.S. health care is highly fragmented – comprised of independent hospitals and clinics, physicians, testing labs and imaging centers, pharmacies and other medical services. Each facility has its own separate patient record system and specialized workflow – a “silo of care” that makes it difficult for other clinicians to get patient information needed for effective diagnosis and treatment.
A Health Information Exchange (HIE) network connects all of the participating providers and their patient record systems within its defined medical community- a hospital, IDN, region or state. Once connected, patient-authorized participants can instantly receive and exchange their patient’s clinical results as well as access a complete and up-to-date medical record at the point of care. This record includes the patient’s relevant diagnoses, treatments, test results, x-rays and medications from all providers connected to the HIE.

Park Hill: Stolen bicycles take a positive turn
The Park Hill Thriving Communities Project, a CHI/LiveWell Colorado coalition, completed a project to provide low-income community residents with free bikes to expand their access to Park Hill resources. The Park Hill coalition renovated an easily accessible 1,800-square-foot space near a community center as a bicycle reconditioning and distribution center called The Bike Depot. Lost and unclaimed bikes languishing in police department storage now provide residents with mobility and exercise. The Bike Depot project has mobilized the community in more ways than one -- inspiring a comprehensive city-wide effort to encourage bicycle use which includes installing new bike racks, offering bike safety training and touring activities, and planning for bike lanes and other long-term improvements. Like bicycling, a little CHI/LiveWell effort can produce a lot of momentum.
Northern California
Berkeley: Health is on the menu
In Northern California, Kaiser Permanente teamed up with the City of Berkeley’s Department of Public Health to launch the Eat Well Berkeley program promoting healthier choices in restaurants. To receive and display the Eat Well Berkeley certification, restaurants must meet specific nutritional standard for menu items, eliminating trans-fats and offering choices with fewer calories and fat. The city provides technical support to help restaurants meet the standards. Eat Well Berkeley is now being expanded to corner stores near secondary schools to promote better nutrition for youth.
Corporate identity firm's introduction page to its logo design work, intended to be approachable by local and regional businesses.
We are visual, by nature.
“I see” means “I understand.”
But we don’t see and understand everything at once. We first see and identify simple shapes that match images we’ve previously seen, identified and stored in memory.
That’s why a business must have a strong symbol, a “logo” or “servicemark,” to represent itself and its products or services. It is the first and most powerful device for capturing your customer’s attention – on your store on the roadside, on your package on the shelf, on your invoice on the desk.
Our corporate identity work doesn’t just speak for itself – it speaks clearly, strongly and distinctively for each of our clients. Have a look at the business identity programs we’ve done for other clients. You’ll see exactly what we mean.
Excerpt from case study of OTRS Help Desk management software, featuring L3, a major U.S. defense contractor requiring compliance with exacting Federal and DOD regulations.
STRATIS Requirements
The L3 STRATIS consolidation project for its Service First Remote (SFR) operation was led and overseen by a top management team from L3 Delivery Excellence Group – a corporate initiative focused on implementing IT service management systems that meet and exceed ITIL and ISO certification standards.
Service Desk Remote was viewed as a low-risk test bed for IT service management, currently serving STRATIS’ own 5000 employees and a relatively small portfolio of small- to-medium government agencies. In view of the wider corporate goals, the bar was set very high. The ITSM system chosen had to implement the full range of ITIL good practices – Incident, Problem, Change and Knowledge Management and much more. As an outsourced service, the ITSM solution clearly required the ability to support decentralized ITSM organizations and integration/management of complex IT infrastructures and CIs Dependencies.
